We all know someone who can walk in the room and immediately the mood changes. Maybe their smile adds laughter and joy or maybe they carry negative energy that brings an unwelcomed darkness. I used to think it was just personality differences, but I’m beginning to recognize that we are completely in control of the energy we manifest.
Energy courses through our body and manifests itself through our thoughts, actions, and vibes we give off. We’ve heard about our subconscious and underlying thoughts and emotions that affect our mood. Although I believe there is truth to that idea, I also believe that we can tune into our spiritual core and incorporate the Law of Attraction to positively influence our subconscious. It will take a conscious decision and dedication to practice, practice, practice. Let’s learn together.
What is the Law of Attraction?
Growing up, my mom talked a lot about the power of positive thinking. It’s not a new concept, and simply put, it embodies the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction teaches that your thoughts can bring positive or negative outcomes into your life.
In 1912, Charles Haanel wrote: “The Law of Attraction will certainly and unerringly bring to you the conditions, environment, and experiences in life, corresponding with your habitual, characteristic, predominant mental attitude.”
Your thoughts are powerful. What you choose to focus on and the self-control you learn to develop over your thoughts will greatly impact your life. Tuning in to your spiritual core and incorporating spiritual habits will help you apply the Law of Attraction and manifest positive energy. You are what you think.
Altering Your Energy
I know there have been times when I’ve gotten stuck in a spiritual rut and I wish there was a simple way to just snap out of it. And although it takes practice, applying the Law of Attraction is simple. Let’s chat about ways energy can be altered to help you progress on your spiritual journey.
Wellness coach Elizabeth Scott taught: “Changing your self-talk can change your life in a positive direction. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, a widely used and effective treatment for many conditions, is based on the idea that identifying and changing automatic negative thoughts can produce positive effects and help people achieve better mental well-being.” One of the 5 steps of the Law of Attraction is visualizing success. This requires tuning in to your authentic self, connecting with your spiritual core, and remembering your true potential. Once this inner connection has been made, regular, positive self-talk helps create positive energy and rid our minds of negative thoughts.
Once we’ve discovered how to take control of our thoughts, another way to alter our energy is to cut out the negative to make room for the positive. This may mean cutting ties with a toxic individual in your life, stopping a habit that is spiritually damaging, or simply cleaning up your home to create greater peace in your environment. There are several simple ways to change the energy you manifest. Take the first step.
Sharing Positive Energy
I recently discovered the life-altering effects of Pilates. It fuels my body, mind, and soul. My morning routine has become more consistent, and I’ve felt greater progression in my goals and spirituality because I’ve found something my soul loves. Maybe you’ve found something that brings a similar positive energy into your life. A new habit of journaling. A powerful study of spiritual text. A hobby that invites light into your life. Whatever it may be, you’ll understand me when I say I’ve been giddy. There’s a new excitement that bursts through my veins…and I am eager to share with anyone and everyone that will listen about the value of Pilates.
When your core spiritual self learns to create positive energy and incorporates it into your everyday life, you’ll long to reach out and share with others. David Steindl-Rast, a Benedictine monk, shared this insight: “When we say ‘count your blessings,’ this is a very profound teaching. A stream of energy—of blessing—is flowing from the universal source as blood pulsates from the heart. Knowing this, I’m energized and pass the blessing along to my brother so it flows again to its source. We create a network of grateful living.” This drive and motivation to reach outward truly comes from the source of all the energy that is good in the world—God, deity, a higher power. Whatever you choose to call the upward pull toward the universe, we all acknowledge it’s there and the power that it brings as it creates light and positive energy in our lives.
The Law of Attraction teaches that when we manifest this positive energy, there will be magnetism in our lives, attracting even greater blessings and light. So start simple. Visualize your success, connect with your spiritual core, and think positive thoughts.
